When to go

Italy in September

Across the 1,000 towns we hold, September averages 24 degrees by day and 16 at night, with about 10 days of rain. The sea off the 190 coastal towns sits around 25 degrees. Measured 2020–2024.

Where to go in September

Picked by a rule, not by mood: the weather in the comfortable band, our own editorial verdict on the town, a festival that month, and a sea worth swimming in. The reason is printed under each one.

What is on in September

181 festivals we hold a source for. Recurring events, so the month is the promise and the exact dates are the comune’s to publish.

Somewhere else, or some other month

Italy through the year: January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November, December.
